Okay, I have to be honest, I wanted my first journal entry of the season to be a positive one. After Daytona and Rockingham, I really didn't feel like I had a lot of positive to write about beside having a strong car and a great team. However, Las Vegas was different. We had a really good weekend in Vegas. We won our first pole since California in 2001 and had our first top five since Charlotte in October. The car was very good all weekend. It was really fast from the first lap on Friday right through to the very last lap of the race on Sunday.

I'm very proud of the team this year. They have worked real hard and even though we don't have three top five finishes we feel good about things. We have had good cars at all three races and that is due to the hard work at the shop and track by each and every person on the crew. I really feel like 2003 is going to be a good year for all of us.
