I hope everyone out there had a great Labor Day...

What a race this past weekend! For me and the Interstate Batteries team it was an up and down race. We would have good runs and then bad runs. However, we missed a lot of the wrecks and ended up with a top ten, and after all the bad luck we've had lately, it was nice to finish the race near the front.

I have to say that it was really awesome for Terry to win the last Southern 500 at Darlington. It was truly fitting for Terry to win such a presitigous race at the same track where he won his first Winston Cup race back in 1980. I will definitely miss going to Darlington on Labor Day weekend in the years to come.

Many of you have written and asked me what my favorite track is. I can answer with certainty that Michigan is my favorite. Not only have we been pretty good there over the years but it is challenging and fun to drive that track. You can drive anywhere in the corners...High, low, in the middle...That's why I like Michigan.
