Kyle Busch will lead the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series to the green flag in Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Kasey Kahne, winner of Saturday night’s Sprint All-Star Race, will start alongside and will look to sweep the two events at the Concord, N.C. track.

The Coca-Cola 600 is the longest race of the year for the Sprint Cup Series. The annual Memorial Day weekend event is made up of 400 laps. This will be the first time that the new chassis has been used for the Coca-Cola 600, which is considered one of the crown-jewel races of the Sprint Cup Series.

Bobby Labonte and the No. 43 Cheerios Racing/Trix, Lucky and Friends Dodge team will start from the 23rd position for Sunday’s event, after posting a lap of 29.476 seconds. Labonte picked up his first career Cup win in the 1995 Coca-Cola 600. It has been one of his best tracks throughout his career, as he has picked up 12 top-five and 17 top-ten finishes to go along with his two career wins there.

“I’ve always enjoyed coming to Charlotte and competing in the Coca-Cola 600,” said Labonte. “It’s a race that every driver wants to win just once in their career. We’ve got a pretty fast Cheerios Racing Dodge and if you give Jeff Meendering 600 miles to wrench on a car, he’ll make it faster.”

Sunday’s race will be televised live on FOX. It will be broadcast live on the Performance Radio Network and Sirius Channel 128. Pre-race coverage is scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. (EST).
